Davis McClendon, a Wichita native, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of healthcare experience. His clinical interests include child and adolescent psychiatry, adult and geriatric mental health, men’s mental health, and the care of patients with mood, personality, and thought disorders.

Patricia Ramirez is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals facing mental health challenges.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwestern College in 2004 and has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals and public health. Her interest in psychiatric care grew from firsthand experience seeing the complex health challenges individuals with mental illness often face.
Patricia has served as a registered nurse in inpatient behavioral health units, correctional facilities, and geriatric psychiatric units. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatry from Maryville University. For the past two and a half years, she has practiced as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

I truly have enjoyed helping others and working with team workers who have what I call, ‘The Great Mission’ to empower and improve lives of patients with health disparities.”
Crystal Gardiner began her professional journey in public service after earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Through her work with individuals in crisis, she developed a strong understanding of the intersection between behavioral health, trauma, and social challenges.
Motivated by a desire to support individuals more holistically, Crystal pursued a Master of Social Work with a clinical focus from the University of Kansas. She is passionate about empowering others and addressing the broader factors that impact well-being.
“I’m excited to join Health Ministries Clinic and be part of a team that delivers compassionate, integrated care. This role allows me to combine my background in social work and public service to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and the broader community.”
Dr. Peeling earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at SUNY Purchase, in Purchase, New York and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of South Dakota and also completed an additional fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at the University of South Dakota.
“I chose to work at Health Ministries Clinic because of how genuinely happy staff and providers are, and because of the unique structure that allows a team-based approach. It was important to me to find a community where mental health needs can be met without exclusion. Early intervention, as well as the chance to establish continuity as a child or adolescent transitions through each stage of life, is something that I find very fulfilling.”
Shonda Ratzloff is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS. She later earned her master’s degree in social work with a clinical emphasis from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS. She has experience in education and the mental health field working with children, groups, and individuals. At HMC, Shonda focuses on providing consultation and intervention focused on assisting individuals with behavioral change to benefit their overall health.

I love the integrated care approach that HMC practices and that this allows us to provide whole-person care for each individual served. I am excited to see how Health Ministries will allow me to pursue my passion for helping others while also building connections with other professionals.”
Justin attended East Los Angeles College and graduated in 2013. He went on to attend Bethel College and earned his bachelor’s degree in social work in 2017 and his master’s in social work from Wichita State University in 2019. Justin has experience in the Harvey County community at various mental health and addiction treatment centers and is dually licensed in social work and addictions counseling.

Kealey is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She earned her Bachelor of Social Work Degree with a minor in Psychology from Washburn University in 2019, then went on to earn her Master of Social Work Degree at Washburn University in 2020. With a passion for working in a medical setting with any population, she started working as an inpatient case manager and social worker in a hospital setting. Kealey has experience working in multiple units within the hospital including Telemetry, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, and Labor and Delivery.

Brittani is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kansas State University, and her Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Louisville. Brittani has experience working alongside families, adults, and children in various case management, clinical, and supervisory roles. Brittani has experience working in group homes and residential treatment facilities, traditional psychotherapy, inpatient behavioral health hospitalization, and in community mental health.
“I believe that mental health is an integral part of overall health and am excited to be a part of a team that truly looks at a person as a ‘whole’. By exploring the connection between mind and body and providing multiple levels of support to remove the barriers that may prevent a person from accessing services, it allows HMC to offer the best treatment options to the individuals we work with.”
Juli is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW). She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Bethel College in North Newton, KS, and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. Professionally she has experience working in a wide variety of services, from traditional behavioral health, to in-patient psychiatric, residential care and school social work.
At HMC, Juli provides behavioral health consultation to patients in a team-based approach with the medical providers. Her practice involves mainly cognitive-behavioral approaches to guide the patient in making behavioral changes to enhance their quality of life.

Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Professionally she has experience working with both pediatric and adult patients in inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment units.
She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and licensed in the state of Kansas as a Nurse Practitioner.
